This moving and enlightening play is an exploration of the issues of integration and identity of immigrants into their adopted society. It is a fictionalized semi-autobiographical account of Talia’s experiences after emigrating to Quebec when she was 12 years old. The story unfolds through a series of 'miniature' acts, written as if posted on a private diary. Talia has a Greek first name; her mother is Italian and her father is Egyptian. The story begins on her family's  last day in Egypt. Upon her arrival in Laval, Talia meets Julie Sirois, a tough rebellious teen. Talia wants to be her. They become best friends as Julia teaches her how to  become herself. The play takes on a surreal element when Julie tragically dies in an automobile accident. Julie's spirit lives on through Talia.
The translation works well and shows that the questions of integration and identity affect everyone universally. We are all in one way or another faced with integrating into society and discovering who we really are.
The chemistry between the two principle characters was emotionally engaging. The performance and dramaturgy was A1.
